How you can help

Donate

Donations from people like you make all the difference

please help an animal today

We rely 100% on Fundraising and Donations to support our horses & other rescue animals.

Feeding horses is a huge expense and the rescue is in immediate need of hay. Ideally buying hay in bulk is more cost effective so we hope to place a large order soon. One of the horses Jesse James (JJ) has a condition called Cryptorchidism and this needs to be corrected and that procedure is $5000. Spring vetting & shots are coming up and Coggins and other vaccines are $400 each. Coggins is an annual test to assure the horses aren't infected with a virus that is highly contagious to other horses. Bedding, animal food for all the various rescue animals, misc supplies and dental work for the horses are additional expenses.

Any amount is appreciated and always helpful.

About Volunteering

There are always farm chores that need to be done, and we feed the horses 3 times a day, so there are plenty of opportunities to help. Or pick a horse to brush once a week- they love the interaction and soon anticipate your arrival. It's very important to us to provide our equine friends with stimulation and human touch- it makes their lives better (and ours, too).

SBF Animal Rescue currently provides care for 20 horses and other animals. That is enough work for lots of people! We always have room for more volunteers.

No experience is necessary. We have a training program to help you learn about our barn and the horses. Volunteers also can provide valuable help with things like event planning, fundraising and publicity.

Please contact us to schedule a tour and learn more about volunteering at SBF Animal Rescue.
